Happy Thanksgiving

I decided I wanted to make some Thanksgiving cards this year for my family and my boyfriend's family to show my gratitude for inviting us to their Thanksgiving dinners. This is the first one that I came up with. It's pretty simple, but I think it's cool.

Birthday Card for Boyfriend

So this is the card I gave my boyfriend for his birthday. It took forever to get the ribbon bow right, but I think it came out awesome and he loved it!

Birthday Cupcake Card

I had to make a birthday card for my boyfriend and this was what I came up with on my first attempt. I added some polka-dot ribbon and jewels. I think it came out pretty cute, but it wasn't what I wanted to give to my boyfriend, so I made another card, which I will post next.

Girly Birthday Card for BFF

My friend's birthday is tomorrow, but I didn't have a chance to start her card until tonight because I have been so busy with school! I wanted to make her a card that was super girly and bright, so I used alot of pinks and a pretty green floral print. I added a flower sticker, some gemstones, and some Happy Birthday ribbon. I probably would have tweeked some stuff if I had time, but overall I think it turned out pretty good and I'm sure she'll love it!

Birthday Card for Mom

I wanted to make my Mom a birthday card that she would like, and I know she likes the color purple! Since purple is her favorite color, I used different shades of purple paper to make a purple monotone card. I don't think it's my best, but I didn't have very much time to put it together, and she loved it just the way it was anways!

Back to School - Binders

My friend used her cricut to decorate her binders for class and I liked her idea so much that I scraplifted and came up with my own designs... Here is what I came up with... I think they are pretty cool, well at least to me because I get to look at them everyday :) I can't do that with the cards I make... The picutures aren't very good because the plasic that protects them causes a glare from the flash.

Baby Cards

I had two friends have babies in the last few days, so I created a super cute baby card for each of them using Cricut Design Studio.

Birthday Card for Nephew

I had to make a quick birthday card for my nephew who was turning 8, so I copied the design I had created in Cricut Design Studio for my Dad's birthday card and then changed the paper colors. I also added a special touch by making an "8" candle, and I think it came out great.

Birthday Card for Dad

I made this card for my Dad's birthday on Saturday. I finally got around to playing around with Cricut Design Studio, and this is what I came up with. I couldn't really find a way to take a picture that actually showed the true colors of the paper. The card itself is a shade of grey, the top is a very light green, the cake is a dark brown under the polka dots, and the candles and plate are a light purple.

America Card

I got some really cute red, white, and blue ribbons and embelishments, so I decided to make a 4th of July card. I kept it really simple and I think it came out pretty cute, except I think it's missing something...maybe glitter. I have no idea who I will give this card to, but it was fun to make...

Father In-Law's Card

When my boyfriend saw how well my Father's Day card for my Dad turned out he asked me to make him one for his father. I used the same basic layout as I used for my Dad's card, but changed up the color scheme. I think it turned out pretty good...but I like my Dad's card better... :)

Oil Paintings

I took an oil painting class last semester, and these are some of the paintings I did during that class.

Best Wishes Card

I got the Simply Sweet Cricut cartridge at Big Lots for $25 last weekend, and I found some time to make a card using it. I had these really cute blue wire butterflies with jewels that I found at the dollar store that I thought would be perfect for this card. I also used some Martha Stewart ribbon that says "BEST WISHES" around the edges and added blue jewels on the corners. I really like how it turned out...it may be the best card I have made yet!

Father's Day Card

I haven't made a card in a while, so I decided to work on a Father's Day card for my Dad. I kept it pretty simple and used masculine colors. I used different colors of embroidery thread around the edges and added buttons with bows to tie it all together. I think it turned out great!

Mother's Day Card

I found some free time over the weekend to make this Mother's Day card for my Mom. Her favorite color is purple, so I made sure to use lots of purple. I found the flowers at my local dollar store and thought they would work perfectly. When I was putting the card together, I thought it was missing something, so I created the vine behind the flowers using Cricut Design Studio. I think it turned out great and I think she will love it!

Thank You For a Friend

My friend needed a thank you card, so she asked me to make one for her. This is what I came up with...

She liked it so much she asked me to make her another thank you card, so when I get the time to make it I will post it.

First Birthday Card

This is the first birthday card I have made. I made it for my boyfriend's brother, whose birthday was yesterday...Happy Birthday, Chris! It's not exactly how I envisioned it would be, but I think it turned out alright.

Get Well Soon

I found a little time last night to make this simple get well card for my friend Jessica and her boyfriend Jim. I came up with the idea and color scheme from the little tag I added at the bottom.

Ice Cream Cone Card

I got a bunch of new paper and cardstock, so I finally had the colors I wanted to make this card. When I saw the ice cream cone on the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge, I instantly knew I wanted to make a card with it and have the message "too sweet" next to it. I think it came out pretty good...except I accidently got some glue spots on the background when I glued on the sentiment...oops...

Easter Bunny Cards

I made this fun Easter bunny card for my nephews. I hope they like it, I think its super cute!

I decided I wanted to make another card like the first but with some different colors, and this is what I came up with...

Thank You Cards with Envelopes

My boyfriend got me a Cricut Create for Valentine's Day! Big Lots had them on sale for $99 and had some cartridges for $30, so I got the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge too. I've been playing with it, and I made two cool thank you cards with a matching envelopes. I think I will work on Easter cards next...
